We were re-enacting with John Hopper and were going to come to the Bath event in May as authentic civilians and camp alongside John, but as the situation has sadly changed regarding John's presence, I was just checking that it would be OK for us to attend still. As we are new to this group we were not sure if civilians were allowed to attend all events or if some were strictly military only, were just trying to find our place in the scheme of things really. Posts: 384 (03/28/08 03:36:29) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Hi there Nathan, I've noticed that people are being a tad quiet (we're a friendly bunch really!) so I thought I'd write a quick reply. As you are aware, I think the civilian side of things (as is the case with the military) is still adjusting to the shock of losing a much loved member, who was also key to organising these sort of things. I am sure that you would be welcome to attend events as civilians. Generally there is a small civilian presence with the VC/AES at most events, more so than in the past in fact. I'd have thought Rachel Evans would probably be a good person to speak to, I will let her know you are interested and hopefully she might be able to point you in the right direction. Daniel

My partner has told me that at the end of season Bath event last year the civilians played a larger role and it worked well. I have been given advice from Rachel and Jon E to improve my kit.
