Do you know the original maker of the frockcoat? Sutlers Stores, a USA vendor etc...
It may be of help in finding the correct type. If said person is not quite so bothered about finding a matching shade, they might try Ben Tart (www.bentart.com/) for starters. Daniel Happiness is 16 Hands between your legs.

Some logwood jeancloth material to cover lengthening the sleeves of a confederate frock coat. Not sure how short the sleeves are, but about a yard or so of material.

Pete I noticed you undersigned as Sutlers, I hope you are not on as a retailer. I for one would object to the site being used in this way. This is not a marketing tool for retailers.
