Great to see some old and new faces there (waits for Ginge's crack...)....and did we have a great time! Brilliant night around the campfire in the moat, singing and general bonhomie as well as copious amounts of wine and port and such all night. You just gotta love a garrison impression now and then...
Although we didn't get there till late Saturday, we picked up loads of good stuff, Guard Mount, Respects to Officers etc. Skirmish by Bugle (under the tutelage of Tom Wheeley and Jan Berger) was good fun and having another go at Old Fuss 'n' Feathers augurs well for Bath... Mind you, I managed to spear me blouse stacking arms again, so I might get one of those Teacher's elbow patches...
We were all impressed by Jan's leatherwork, top class. Why go to the States when there is such a good supplier in Germany? Eric also had some great Fed haversacks on sale, so we have another name to add to the Supplier list:
eric.bizet@thalesgroup.com
I even managed to sleep virtually uninterrupted despite only being 5 yards from BT...unheard of.
Great event, top quality pards and just another event where we had a great time and wondered where everyone else was...
Nobby
