Thought I would post a link to this excellent resource hosted in the US; a collection of articles and illustrations from the Illustrated London News 1861-65.

The sources here were invaluable for my Uni dissertation. They provide a very useful window onto editorial observations and English public opinion regarding 'The American war'; many articles support the interpretation of a large section of the public finding faults as well as merits in the causes of both Federals and Confederates.
