Why are we doing this hobby.Is it down to a genuine interest in the history of this period, or just playing dress up.We spend a lot of time,effort,and money getting good kits together, and making sure we do our best to get it right, but for what?.
Quite a few of us have spent hours trolling through books and the internet seeking information to gain a greater knowledge of our given period, but for who's benefit?, our own I guess.
But what happens to all this fount of knowledge when we've gone, we sit around our campfires discussing this and that, the latest best gear, who did this and that when what period of the war this and that came in, what should be and what should'nt, again most of us know pretty much whats what, so again when the majority of this unit cherry pick events to suit themselves whats the point of it all when most of those events we cherry pick are EBUFU events.
Every year we attempt to set certain events as max effort, and very year, its the same old story we don't get any!!!.
except maybe Bath at the end of the year, why?.
I am trying to get some kind of focus here fellers, it gets very difficult trying to arrange events and organise things,and even more depressing when only three or four people turn up. Any idea's or opinions here would help.
