In the normal course of a year we have events that,
1)        Drill and campaign camp
2)        Battles and campaign camp
3)        Drill and garrison duty (kind of)
Add to that, drinking, singing, marching, a bit of guarding, firing muskets, perhaps some building, a little light digging, more drill, a bit more marching, pointing with swords for some, plus a bit of strange cooking, moaning and that sums up what we do. Of course I dont, apart from the moaning, drinking and strange cooking, Im a civilian and sit on the outside and look in, for our part, we contribute, perhaps a bar, music, some food, but in reality little else. Is that all our imagination can come up with?
Is it just me that craves events with a bit of thought in them, Militia muster with None or limited guns, Trial of something, Political rally. There has to be a load of things folk can think of other than marching, eating life threatening food, drill and battles.
Your thoughts.
