Confirmed American Eagles Events for 2008:
American Museum May 9th-11th (ANV Impression)
Aldershot Military Museum Sunday June 8th (we are assuming that, as usual, camping will be available from Saturday pm) (Federal impression- not sure if East or West yet)
Hill Plantation- Awbridge near
Romsey Hants July 19th- 20th (details in due course)

William, Mac - we are still deciding on the Maximum effort events at the moment, there are one or two more events to be added and Wilton to remove.
Lo had emailed me that Bison Farm will be on, but no set date yet, and ROS has emailed me that Bourtange in the Netherlands, which looks like a cracker could well be on at a slack time for us. We are finally getting moving lads, give us a couple more days and we will have it all set up, don't worry! Nobby

Belhus Woods /Easter Training event/Wilton | ||

This Is Lo here masquerading under Vince's posting;
Easter event at Belhus will be Eastern Confed . In the woods as before. i will be there Saturday lunchtime thru to Monday and would like to hear directly from anyone else coming.Phone me re times of arrival and departure and i will organise it for the non soskan members. 01202 893694 or 07990 980549 Its a good venue for our purposes and the scenario is more of a challenge than the average. i like it.Shake off the winter doldrums and get some practice in. Just seen a posting from Chris here re Wilton House.This event is definitely ON. This is the best venue Soskan have ever had. I went to the Soskan Officer NCO meeting on behalf of the volunteers and it will be attended by Soskan and us as progressives. The other mainstream groups have other commitments so it wont be swarming with farbs AS before we (As Western Federal this year ) will be camped separately under the trees up by the road. Scenarios will be umpired and the objectives will certainly not be based around a powder burn.Steve had a couple of ideas that got rained on last year so it would be nice to see them in action. Soskan are committing over £2000 to secure the site and scenarios will run thru to Monday Lunchtime (There is NO public display on the monday , so we can stay in period) I will be holding a briefing at Belhus woods as I was heavily involved in the previous two campaign events at Wilton. We are considering MClermores Cove (pre Chatanooga) and Tunnel Hill / Missionary ridge due to the terrain . We did consider the bluffs above Vicksburg but the water isnt close enough and i dont want to tempt it

Wilton House is looking good. I will do my utmost to get there seeing as you have such a good input and some control over what we are doing. I will be at Belhus Saturday pm through till Monday hopefully. Come on fellas, we need a good turnout at Belhus, never mind the SOSKAN bollox. From what I can gather from speaking to folk and reading between the lines on the Forum, SOSKAN folk are already pissed off at the lack of input, leadership or management from the new Committee, especially the new Chair. I think they realise they have made a big mistake. Let's see what the attitude is like at Belhus and let's give 'em an illustration of how fecking good it is to run things Campaign style. Nobby
