Well a pretty piss poor turn out for the first event of the year.
But having said that it wasn't a max effort event.
We did however manage to field the 18th's 2nd Platoon.
Not a bad weekend on the whole, well for us anyway, Nice to have Rich back in the ranks again, and equally glad to be back together again with all of you after the long lay off,and also pleased to have Tom and Graham Beattie with us. As usual most of my time was spent running backwards and forwards trying to get Wilton organised amongst other things and trying to get the Civilians to support it.
To Tom and Howard thanks for the music Sunday it was as usual very much appreciated, I particularly enjoyed the evening session with the additional Drum,Just as an aside Sarah posted this on the Soskan Forum so I doubt you would see it so I am putting it here.

" Howard Giles had kindly asked me to play a tune for all the Confeds that marched past, but I was too nervous to play just in case I messed up, but I totally regret not playing now, because it was one of those moments that you get an excellent offer to do something really good, but then you don't do it and then the offers gone, possibly never to return.

on the whole a good weekend and thank you to all the musicians that came out. Howard and Tom, I hope to practise with you sometime, I'm sorry I was being a little bit difficult as it was the first event and I hadn't had a lot of practise over the winter.

Can't wait until the Hop Farm."

So hopefully that will a little way to explain the prima donna attitude, but it has been explained that it in no way excuses her rude behaviour, (Bloody Teenagers).
So on the whole a pretty good and fruitful weekend for us, we may have the possibility of a new member, Sorry Nobs but its another O'Brien, Vince. And perhaps now folks you will realise why I don't drink. Kim Nice dress by the way.
On a slightly more Sombre note Please keep Billy in your thoughts it was truly a saddening sight to see him over the weekend, he really doesn't deserve that, I am sure you are all hoping that he will get the treatment he needs and that he will soon be back to his old self.
