Crackin' event, super setting, fab weather, great company and all the Cabaret/Entertainment you could wish for on the Saturday night (!) Talk about fecking surreal....
We got a lot of useful chatting done, could be big changes, could be not, we'll wait and see. Good to see H again running another quality Living History show.
Always strikes me though, are Civil War re-enactors the only ones to attempt a full weekend re-enacting? Seems strange that we seem to be the only ones - I suspect a big marketing strategy on fellow re-enactors from other periods could produce big results...
The other thing that struck me is we need to be muckier, a bit more dishevelled in some scenarios, plus the untanned skin is a dead giveaway for Veterans - at times we all look like 'fresh fish'.
It was great to nab another new young member - he's gonna look good!
Great attendance considering and fab to see John, Martyn, Sam and Johnnie L after so long.
