I have an Mexican war-early war Confederate Haversack that I got from the US along with my CD jacket and cartridge box in 06.
Could I use it for April? as I need to work on my federal one. Cheers, Stu |

That would rather depend on wether we are going to do Federal or Confederate Stu..If you need a Federal one I am sure we could loan you one until you get one.

Stu if it's the April event you are talking about then that would be bath with the American eagles, as yet i don't believe that a scenario or impression have been posted yet.

in the event that we do a Federal impression at Easter then i can lend you a tarred Federal haversack. Of course the advantages of this type are worth considering for either a Federal or Confederate impression as they keep things nice and dry whereas the canvas ones - don't. Trouble is that sometimes some Federal bags seem to be cut for 'modern appetites' as KC would say. I bought a nice one made by Nick Sekela from Skillet Licker last year with nicely rounded corners and like most bits of kit Stu, it is worth saving up for the definative article rather that dashing out and getting the first thing you see. all the best Rich (Grits) |

A Federal haversack would be useful for some confederate impressions, although this is also dependent on the scenario. Try this vendor for a top end haversack i have one and they are very good.
