(This post is being sent to several groups so apologies for duplication)
As many of you know, Fred Baker has asked me to act as the European co-ordinator for this event and I have been challanged to recruit an entire European company. Those who attended Banks' Grand Retreat last year will need no persuasion as to the unique quality of what is on offer here. Simply put, it will be the closest you will ever get to "the real thing". I thought BGR would never be equalled; now it seems it will and, if possible, exceeded. Rather than words all I suggest you do is to go to the BGR thread in "Event Reports" section of this Forum and click on the post by our French friend, William Miconnet, of Feb. 25 2008. In both still photographs and video William has captured the very essence of what we experienced.
If you are commited to what we do and how we do it (and can spare the time!!!) I urge you most strongly to join us next year in the Piney Woods of the Kisatchie State Park (thousands of acres untouched by the 21st or any century) and treat youself to an experience unlike any you have encountered before. The web site should be up soon and I'll let you know when.
I am neither a travel agent nor an event organiser but I have promised Fred that I would undertake a recruiting drive to see if we can exceed the number that attended BGR and, from early estimates, I think we can. Please let me know via this Forum or email (patrick1940@hotmail.com) if you are planning to join us. It will be a memorable experience to say the least Let me know if you have any questions..
Best,
Patrick
