I would highly recommend this book, Cadet Grey And Butternut Brown by Thomas M Arliskas . I have just read it cover to cover and i am starting again ! This is a must for any living historian who is interested in building a series of confederate impressions . The book is mostly made up of first person accounts and QM reports as well as a great collection of images . It gives a account of how the confederate armies were clothed in the early , mid and late war periods .
