        <![CDATA[ On a cold, wet, windswept, and forbidding morning, John Frederick Hopper was piped into the Chapel in Northampton. 


It was the kind of weather that killed Fred&#39;s favourite General  -  Joe Johnston - six weeks after he attended, hat in hand, Billy Sherman&#39;s Funeral.
But old Joe was paying his last respects to his adversary, we were paying our last respects to a comrade.

			<description><![CDATA[ <p><font face="sans-serif">I would just like to echo Chris&#39;s observations of the day. It was a very moving ceremony and particularly poignant were the
readings of the memories of Anna, Nathan and Joanne. I for one found it a very difficult time to be present but very glad I was, along with Kim.

John will leave a huge hole in my life and he will be very sadly missed by all that knew him as well as the work he did for the Volunteer Company and
progressive re-enactment as a whole.... ]]></description>
